Marine Breeze- FTU

Supplies:
Kit- FTU kit Nautical Vibes by Scraps Dimensions here
Tube- I love this cutie by Zlata M called Marine Breeze, which you can find at PFD here
Font- TheNautiGal or font of choice
Photoshop CS5 or program of choice
I’m on a Mac, so when I use Command you may need to use Ctrl
Here we go, this will be a quickie :)
Command+N to open a new canvas 750x750, transparent background.
Add Frame 1 to center of canvas. Command+T to resize- hold the Shift key down as you drag one of the corner anchors so you keep the proportions equal.
Drag Paper of choice (I used paper 4) under the frame. Activate your Magic Wand Tool (W) and click inside the frame. Select>Modify>Expand by 4. Select>Inverse. Hit Delete on the paper layer. Deselect.
Add and resize Sea Plant 1 on the left side of the frame. Command+J to duplicate. Edit>Transform>Flip Horizontal and reposition copy to the right side of frame.
Add Umbrella over the right corner of your frame.
Open Porthole 2 as the top layer. Below it, add the Dock and a paper of choice (I used paper 3). Activate your Magic Wand Tool and click inside the porthole. Expand by 4, Inverse, and hit delete on the paper and dock layers. Deselect.
Add tube directly above porthole. Duplicate and drag copy below porthole. Using your Eraser tool, remove the bottom of both copies so it appears she is coming out the porthole. Only DropShadow the bottom copy. .
Now add elements from the kit to your tag. I used:
String 1
Compass
Welcome Seagulls
Shells
Binoculars
Add drop shadow of choice to elements. Mine is- Opacity 50, Angle 120, Distance 3, Spread 0, Size 7...feel free to use that or play around to get something you like better!!
Create a selection around the tag, slightly smaller than the canvas. Image>Crop. This should get rid of any stray pixels/shadows.
Image>Trim>Transparent Pixels. This should remove any extra space around your tag.
Image>Image Size to resize if needed.
Add copyright and license info.
Add name and any text of choice.
Merge, save, enjoy :)
Thank you for trying my tut!! If you have any questions or would like to show me your results, feel free to email me (bananas_68@yahoo.com) or contact me on facebook :)
